A recent scientific study revealed about a new way to treat diabetes,
and that by planting insulin-producing cells in the body of the
patient.
The study, prepared by scientists at Harvard University, he
has become possible to produce large quantities of cells in the pancreas
by industrial bioreactors, and then transplanted into the patient's
body to ensure not exposed to pre-emptive attack.
This came after a
study conducted by researchers at the experience of a group of mice
infected with diabetes, and were able, during which hundreds of millions
of human pancreatic cells producing insulin.
The study pointed out that this may be a treatment for children who
suffer from a type of diabetes force them to daily doses of insulin to
compensate for the shortfall in the level of glucose in their blood.
Description
and professor of medicine at the University of London, Chris Mason
study as "an enormous scientific progress," adding that it may lead to
the production of large-scale cells for the treatment of all types of
diabetes.
Scientists hope that this discovery constitutes a new
treatment not only for the type of diabetes, which affects children, but
for the type suffered by the elderly as well.
